We had our first experience as celebrities during our time on Sumatra.  We spent some time outside of a large city on Sumatra, in a small town where not a lot of westerners visit.  We made a guest appearance at a local high school in their freshman English class.  We gave a short speech on anything about English, Canada or traveling and answered questions from the students.  After, we went on a field trip with the students and the English teachers in the school to a large waterfall, where we spent the afternoon.  With every student having their own camera phone, we were asked to take more photos then we could have ever imagined, to the point that each student wanted a group shot and an individual photo with each of us. When walking out to the car to grab something, a group of girls found me (Becky) and each girl required her own picture with me.  Fifteen photo’s later, I made it to the car.  I am sure there are hundreds of pictures of us appearing on Facebook all over the local area!!

But for as popular as we were, nothing compared to the popularity of our friends young blonde children!!  These two patient little boys (two years old, and 4 months old) were the most sought after.  Every one wanted a chance to hold them, play with them and of course take a photo with them! 

This was definitely a new experience for us!
